We are seeking an experienced Senior Property Accountant to manage the full accounting cycle for a commercial office and retail portfolio of 18+ properties concentrated in the Los Angeles and San Fernando Valley markets. This is a hands-on role working closely with and under the direction of the CFO handling day-to-day financial operations, tenant billing, and lease-related accounting with precision and consistency. This is a demanding role that rewards with experience and industry knowledge. We're looking for an efficient, detail-oriented professional who thrives on meeting deadlines and takes ownership of accuracy. The ideal candidate is a Yardi expert — or someone eager to grow into one — with genuine interest in expanding their skill set beyond day-to-day transactional work. A technical accountant who is comfortable with technology and eager to integrate AI tools into daily workflows will excel in this position. Education Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. Professional accounting certifications or continuing education are beneficial. Experience Requirements 3-5 years of commercial property accounting experience 3-5 years of hands-on Yardi experience (Versions 7s and 8) required Experience with full-cycle accounting, including AR, AP, reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close Knowledge of

GAAP, CAM/NNN

recoveries, lease escalations, and straight-line rent accounting Experience preparing schedules for CPA tax preparation and 1099 filings Strong Excel skills and ability to manage multiple entities and properties Job Duties Manage accounting operations for a portfolio of 18+ commercial office and retail properties Process tenant receipts, deposits, and collections activities Maintain tenant ledgers and resolve billing discrepancies Perform bank reconciliations and prepare journal entries Support month-end and year-end close processes Maintain lease abstracts and rent schedules in Yardi Process tenant billing, recoveries, and recurring charges Assist with tax support documentation and annual 1099 filings Ensure accurate bookkeeping across multiple entities Identify and implement process improvements using automation and AI tools Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in accounting, financial analysis, auditing, budgeting, or corporate finance is preferred. Experience with ERP systems, QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar accounting software is beneficial. Knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, tax preparation, compliance, or internal controls is considered an asset. Individuals who demonstrate professionalism, analytical thinking, accuracy, and strong organizational skills are well positioned for success as a Senior Property Accountant. Strong working knowledge of GAAP and commercial lease accounting concepts (CAM/NNN recoveries, escalations, straight-line rent) Demonstrated experience with full-cycle accounting: AR, AP, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close Prior experience preparing schedules for outside CPA tax preparation and 1099 processing High degree of independence, discretion, and reliability — this role carries fiduciary responsibility for accurate, timely portfolio financials Strong Excel skills; comfort working across multiple entities and properties simultaneously Demonstrated interest in and practical use of AI tools (e.g., automation, generative AI, workflow tools) to improve accuracy and efficiency in accounting tasks — with sound judgment about validating AI output before it's relied upon Physical Capabilities Ability to remain seated and work at a computer for extended periods. Ability to review detailed financial documents and perform accurate data analysis. Ability to occasionally lift office materials weighing up to 25 pounds. Ability to perform normal office duties while maintaining productivity and attention to detail throughout the workday.
