Duties Prepare and analyze detailed cost reports for construction projects, ensuring alignment with budgets and forecasts Conduct cost analysis and variance investigations to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions Manage project budgets by monitoring expenses, controlling costs, and updating forecasts regularly Reconcile project-related accounts including general ledger entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and balance sheet accounts Utilize ERP systems such as SAP, Sage, Xero, or similar financial software to record transactions accurately and generate reports Perform cash flow analysis to optimize project funding and resource allocation Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) requirements in all financial processes Collaborate with project managers, finance teams, and external auditors to support financial audits and internal controls Interpret financial reports to provide actionable insights on project performance and cost control strategies Support month-end closing activities including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation Skills Strong knowledge of financial concepts including double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, and cost accounting principles Proficiency in QuickBooks, and construction platform.
