Senior Cost Accountant A well-established manufacturing company is looking for a Senior Cost Accountant to join their team and play an important role in plant operations, inventory management, and cost analysis. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who enjoys working closely with operations and using financial data to improve processes, accuracy, and profitability.

Senior Cost Accountant Responsibilities:
Manage and analyze standard costing, inventory valuation, labor, and overhead allocations Analyze material, labor, and overhead variances and identify opportunities for improvement Support month-end close and plant-level financial reporting Review BOMs, routings, inventory processes, and manufacturing cost structures Oversee inventory processes including cycle counts, physical inventories, and reserve analysis Prepare operational reporting, margin analysis, and other financial analyses Partner with operations leadership on cost reduction and process improvement initiatives Assist with audits, internal controls, and accounting system/process improvements
Ideal Background:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 5+ years of cost accounting experience within a manufacturing environment Strong knowledge of standard costing and inventory valuation Experience partnering with plant and operations leadership ERP experience and advanced Excel skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Process improvement and systems experience is a plus 💰
