Job Description

We are looking for a Staff Accountant to contribute to core accounting activities and help keep financial records accurate and organized in Boulder, Colorado. This position offers the chance to work across several accounting functions, including close activities, reconciliations, reporting support, and day-to-day transactional processes. The ideal candidate brings a solid foundation in accounting principles, a careful eye for detail, and the ability to succeed in a fast-moving environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Record and post journal entries while ensuring the general ledger remains complete, accurate, and properly supported.
  • Contribute to monthly and annual closing activities by organizing schedules, reviewing balances, and helping meet reporting deadlines.
  • Reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts, investigate discrepancies, and explain fluctuations through variance analysis.
  • Assist with both payables and receivables processing to support timely transactions and accurate cash flow tracking.
  • Help monitor inventory records and costing data to maintain reliable financial reporting related to inventory activity.
  • Prepare financial reports, supporting schedules, and other accounting documentation for internal review and decision-making.
  • Maintain organized records and follow established internal control procedures to support compliance and audit readiness.
  • Provide assistance during audit activities and participate in special accounting or finance projects as business needs arise.
