FINANCE This is complex clerical and accounting work, performing calculations and record keeping duties. Generally, the hiring range is $62,092-$77,615 annually. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(The following examples are illustrative only and are not intended to be all-inclusive.) Reviews and approves the coding of accounts and budget availability for accounts payable invoices and vouchers. Responsible for the input and depreciation of capital assets and the reconciliation of these expense accounts. Coordinates the annual year-end inventory audit of fixed assets. Assists with the preparation of schedules for the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report. Advises division staff on appropriateness of capitalization and expenditure charges. Prepares spreadsheets, journal entries, deposits, vouchers, and memorandums. Inputs journal entries and general ledger accounts. Performs petty cash audits and compiles a report of the results. Scans and indexes documents for the Finance Office. Process reconciliations to include, but not limited to, grants (during grant award cycle), retainage, etc. Assists grant managers with sub-recipient monitoring for grant awards as required. Assists with completing the annual Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards (SEFA). Works closely with the County's external auditors and any federally required governmental agency auditors for the Single Audit and compliance with Uniform Guidance. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities. Assists with audit schedules. Back-up to Accounts Payable Clerks. Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field is required. Three years of accounting, finance, or related experience is required. A combination of education and experience may be considered.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, & REGISTRATIONS
This position requires successful completion of a criminal background check including fingerprinting through a national database.

This may mean being available to perform additional duties and hours beyond what is normally required. In the event that an exempt employee does work more than 40 hours a week in support of County operations during an emergency, such employee may receive overtime or other appropriate wage compensation in accordance with existing County policies or at the discretion of the County.
