Sr. Accountant

We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to join a medical devices organization in Centennial, Colorado on a contract basis with the potential for a permanent role. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting specialist who can manage core close activities, maintain accurate financial records, and support compliance with revenue recognition standards. The position offers the opportunity to contribute across key accounting functions while partnering with internal teams to ensure timely and reliable reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Lead recurring close activities, ensuring journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules are completed accurately and on time.
• Maintain the general ledger by reviewing account activity, resolving discrepancies, and preserving the integrity of financial data.
• Prepare and post a variety of accounting entries related to routine operations, accruals, and period-end adjustments.
• Perform balance sheet and bank reconciliations, investigate variances, and follow through on outstanding reconciling items.
• Apply accounting treatment for deferred revenue and support revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606 guidance.
• Oversee fixed asset records, including capitalization, depreciation, disposals, and supporting documentation.
• Manage intercompany accounting transactions and ensure balances are properly recorded and reconciled between entities.
• Utilize Acumatica to support daily accounting processes, reporting needs, and financial record maintenance.
