Accountant

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Accountant to join our team in Eaton, Colorado. This long-term contract position offers an opportunity to contribute to the accuracy and integrity of our financial operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of accounting principles, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and records to ensure compliance with regulations and accuracy. Perform account and bank reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records. Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently and accurately. Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely reporting. Contribute to budgeting, financial forecasting, and variance analysis to support strategic planning. Maintain and enhance accounting systems and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy. Provide documentation and support for internal and external audits to ensure compliance. Safeguard the confidentiality and security of financial data. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver financial insights and support decision-making. Proficiency in handling accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes. Strong knowledge of general ledger management and journal entries. Experience with bank reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records. Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Familiarity with accounting systems and tools to streamline processes. Excellent communication skills to effectively present financial information.
