Position Summary of Senior Staff Accountant:

The Senior Staff Accountant will support the day-to-day accounting operations of the company, including month-end close, reconciliations, job cost review, and financial reporting support. This individual will work closely with operations and project teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and maintain strong accounting processes across multiple projects and entities. This role is ideal for someone with strong general ledger experience who is interested in construction or project-based accounting and wants continued growth within the organization.

Responsibilities of Senior Staff Accountant:

Prepare and post journal entries Assist with month-end and year-end close processes Perform bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations Review job cost reports and assist with project accounting analysis Support accounts payable and vendor management processes Assist with WIP schedules and project-related reporting Maintain fixed asset schedules and prepaid reconciliations Support budgeting, forecasting, and audit preparation Partner with project managers and operations teams on cost tracking Help improve accounting workflows and internal processes Ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and accounting standards

Qualifications of Senior Staff Accountant:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred 5+ years of accounting experience required Construction, project-based, or job cost accounting experience strongly preferred Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and reconciliations Experience with ERP/accounting systems such as Accumatica Intermediate Excel skills including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs preferred Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities Team-oriented with strong communication skills Compensation & Benefits Base salary up to $90,000 depending on experience Bonus potential Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match PTO and paid holidays Growth opportunity within a stable and expanding organization Schedule Full-time onsite #
