This Long-term Contract position is well suited for someone with at least 2 years of experience who can manage daily accounting activities, maintain accurate financial records, and contribute to timely month-end close processes. The ideal candidate brings strong knowledge of reconciliations, journal entry management, tax-related accounting tasks, and SAP within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Prepare, review, and post journal entries to ensure financial transactions are recorded accurately and on schedule. Maintain the general ledger by analyzing account activity and resolving discrepancies that affect financial reporting. Perform bank and cash reconciliations regularly to confirm balances and investigate variances promptly. Support month-end close activities by completing adjusting entries and validating supporting documentation. Assist with sales tax processes and contribute to corporate tax return preparation through accurate recordkeeping and reporting support. Use SAP to enter accounting data, monitor transactions, and help maintain the integrity of financial information. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather financial details, clarify account issues, and improve reporting accuracy. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a staff accounting or similar accounting role. Hands-on experience preparing and posting journal entries, including adjusting and month-end entries. Working knowledge of general ledger accounting and account reconciliation procedures. Experience completing bank account and cash reconciliations with strong attention to detail. Familiarity with sales tax support and exposure to corporate tax return processes. Proficiency with SAP and comfort working within an ERP-driven accounting environment. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage deadlines effectively.
