Job Description

United Flea Markets is a rapidly growing company headquartered in Henderson, CO. To support our continued growth, we are seeking an AP & Accounting Associate/Clerk to join our Finance team, reporting directly to the Controller. Position Summary The AP & Accounting Associate/Clerk supports the Finance team by processing accounts payable, assisting with month-end close activities, and maintaining accurate financial records. This hands-on role requires strong attention to detail, timely execution, compliance with internal controls, and consistent follow-through. Responsibilities Process vendor invoices, ensuring proper coding, approvals, and documentation Prepare payment batches and support check and EFT processing in accordance with company controls Maintain vendor records and respond to vendor inquiries Assist with month-end close activities, including journal entries, accrual support, and account reconciliations Reconcile assigned balance sheet and bank accounts and resolve variances Monitor company credit card transactions and ensure receipt compliance Support audit requests and maintain well-organized financial records Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned Qualifications 1-3 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting Basic understanding of accounting principles and internal controls Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems (ERP experience preferred) Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines Reliable, organized, and able to follow established processes Effective communication skills and willingness to ask questions when needed Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team Education and/or Training High school diploma with 3 years of accounting or accounts payable experience or Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting with 1-3 years of relevant experience preferred Only qualified candidates will be considered.
Pay range:
$22-$24 per hour, depending on experience.
