Accountant

Description Position Purpose As an Accountant on LONG's Accounting team, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and organizing accounting processes. You will have the opportunity to learn and support the team with various accounting tasks, including Month-End Close, Financial Review, and Accounts Payable.

Compensation Range:

$55,000 - $72,000 per year, plus potential profit share. Essential Duties and Responsibilities To perform this job successfully, you must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties or tasks assigned as required. The essential functions of this position include but are not limited to: Perform Month-End Close processes and reconcile various balance sheet accounts. Review monthly financial statements, job cost reports, and status reports. Serve as an accounting resource for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. Help develop and document accounting procedures. Gain experience in supporting different areas within the Accounting Department. Maintain, develop, and document procedures and checklists. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent combination of education and experience. Self-motivated with the ability to take ownership of projects while supporting the team's objectives. Strong analytical skills with the ability to work independently and focus on finding solutions. Highly detail-oriented, able to spot discrepancies, identify errors, and correct mistakes using various tools and strategies. Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel at an intermediate level. Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Enjoy working on a variety of tasks and challenges. Preferred Qualifications Proficiency with Microsoft D365 Finance & Operations or other Accounting and ERP Software No candidate will meet every single desired qualification. Physical Requirements This position may involve sitting for extended periods, lifting, bending, and kneeling. This position may require lifting to 25 lbs. from floor to countertop and countertop to floor.
