Job Description

Job Summary A growing construction company in Longmont, CO is seeking an experienced Controller
  • Construction Industry to lead accounting and financial operations in a hands-on, leadership-focused role.
This is a direct hire opportunity for a construction accounting professional who understands job costing, WIP reporting, project billing, and financial controls within residential, commercial, or office construction environments. The Controller will play a key role on the leadership team, providing financial insight, improving accounting processes, and supporting profitable project execution.   • Lead accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, reconciliations, and monthly close.
  • Manage construction accounting processes, including job costing, WIP schedules, percentage-of-completion accounting, change order tracking, and project profitability analysis.
  • Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
  • Oversee billing, retainage tracking, lien waivers, subcontractor compliance documentation, tax filings, audits, and external financial relationships.
  • Partner with project managers and leadership to analyze financial performance, improve margins, strengthen internal controls, and support successful project execution.
  • Manage and mentor accounting staff while establishing best practices for financial reporting and operational efficiency. Compensation and Benefits
  • Salary range: $60,000 to $80,000 per year.
