  • Full-time Position Summary The basic function of the Position is to ensure accounting functions are efficient and the organization has reliable financial reports.
This individual directs and manages company fiscal records in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), manages the Company's accounting, and providing financial information about company activities that will assist management and shareholders in making educated economic decisions about the company's future. This position is 100%
IN-OFFICE.
Remote work is not available for this position. About the role The principal responsibilities consist of, but are not limited to, the following: Manage the Accounting Department to ensure full compliance with federal and state reporting requirements. Production of accurate and timely quarterly financial management reports to the Board. Maintain the control and integrity of all financial and accounting data, systems, and processes in a manner that enhances the company's value and ensures accurate and ethical bookkeeping. Produces an annual budget and forecasts, including monitoring spending and informing project-specific budgeting. Ensure that all personnel reporting to this position are trained to perform their jobs adequately and safely. Recommend and develop policies, procedures and systems to reduce the risk of errors, omissions and fraud. Establish and maintain a communicative, coordinated, and cooperative relationship with all other functions within the organization. Recommend benchmarks that will be used to measure the company's performance. Ensure the proper preparation of federal, state and local tax returns, and remain informed about tax laws. Serve as the direct supervisor for the personnel working with the general ledger, accounts receivable, and accounts payable. About you
Education:
B.A. or B.S. in economics, business administration, accounting, finance, or another related field. We would love a
Certified Public Accountant or MBA Experience:
A minimum of three years of experience in finance and operations with financial statements, to include Profit & Loss, Trial Balance, and Balance Sheet.
Skill, Knowledge and Abilities:
  • Ethical mindset to analyze financial documents and highlight instances of noncompliance, fraud, and budget mismanagement.
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and standards, corporate taxation, internal controls, and cash management.
  • Proficiency in accounting, financial analysis, financial forecasting, payroll, tax compliance, business intelligence, and other software programs.
  • Communication skills to discuss complex accounting concepts with Managers and Board.
  • High level of integrity, discretion, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Leadership skills to delegate tasks and motivate and train employees. What we offer
