Boulder, CO Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Cost Accountant to join their team! This is a strong opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys owning core cost accounting and month-end responsibilities in a manufacturing environment. You'll play a key role in keeping financial data accurate, supporting inventory controls, and helping drive better visibility into plant performance. Key Responsibilities & Duties:
Process and analyze manufacturing cost transactions Review and adjust direct sales cost of goods sold Prepare journal entries and month-end close activities Analyze inventory balances and cycle count results Record monthly period costs and manufacturing variances Establish and review standard costs Prepare account reconciliations and financial reports Analyze budget versus actual manufacturing variances Support annual and internal audit activities
Required Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field Equivalent education and experience may be considered At least 3 years of accounting experience At least 1 year of cost accounting experience Manufacturing environment experience required Strong Excel skills Knowledge of GAAP principles Understanding of standard cost structures Experience with integrated accounting systems Strong communication and analytical skills Nice to
Have Skills & Experience:
Experience with inventory controls Background in month-end close processes Exposure to financial reporting Experience supporting audit requests Ability to work independently with limited supervision Strong problem-solving mindset
