full-time We represent a well established, family owned general contractor near the Ansonia, CT area that is looking for a Project Accountant . This position offers an exciting opportunity for professionals with a background in construction accounting, job costing, and accounts payable. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing project financials, supporting job costing across multiple projects, and collaborating with the CFO and AP team to ensure accurate reporting.

Project Accountant Responsibilities:

Assist with project financial management, including tracking budgets, expenses, and financial documentation. Collaborate with project managers and field personnel to ensure accurate financial reporting. Support preparation of project reports, proposals, and presentations. Maintain organized electronic and physical records related to project finances and documentation. Communicate effectively with team members, clients, vendors, and leadership to coordinate project-related information. Contribute to the overall office support efforts, including managing schedules and handling administrative tasks.

Project Accountant Requirements:

2+ years of experience in accounting. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Outlook, and Word. Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion. Self-motivated, resourceful, and able to work independently. Experience in construction, asphalt, concrete, or related industries is preferred but not required.

Compensation :

Salary is $65,000 to $85,000 annually.
