Summary:
Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
All duties are subject to accommodation in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Prepares and records assets, liability, revenue, and expense entries by compiling and analyzing account information. Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions, resolving discrepancies. Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts, preparing a trial balance, reconciling entries. Summarizes financial status by collecting information, preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, and other statements. Completes external audit by analyzing and scheduling general ledger accounts, providing information for auditors. Assist with analyzing financial statements monthly and report on variances. Maintains and submits Monthly and Quarterly Financial Expenditure Reports to Contracted Agencies. Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
Qualifications:
Strong understanding of accounting theory Ability to meet assigned deadlines Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish objectives Proficiency with email and Microsoft Office applications Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving and results.
Requirements:
Education and/or
Experience:
Bachelor's or higher degree in Accounting or Finance. At least two years of non-profit health care organization experience. At least two years of experience working with healthcare grants. Experience utilizing accounting software. Acumatica strongly preferred.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Generally, the working conditions are good with little or no exposure to extremes in health, safety hazards and/or hazardous materials. This person must have the ability to travel as required to work with staff.
