Staff Accountant

Our client in Cheshire is seeking a skilled Temporary Staff Accountant to join their team and support essential accounting operations. Responsibilities:

• Prepare and file corporate tax returns accurately and on time.
• Oversee sales tax reporting and compliance to ensure adherence to regulations.
• Record and reconcile journal entries to maintain accurate financial records.
• Manage and update the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are properly documented.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including account reconciliations.
• Collaborate with internal teams to analyze financial data and prepare reports.
• Monitor tax-related changes and implement necessary adjustments in financial processes.
• Support audits by providing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries.
• Review financial transactions for accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement within the accounting function.
