Senior Accountant, Full-Time 40 hours per week Position Summary A local nonprofit organization is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support the financial operations of the organization. This role is responsible for monthly financial reporting, account reconciliations, supervision of accounting staff, and ensuring compliance with DDS and other state funding requirements. Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting & Accounting Manage month-end and year-end closing activities. Prepare monthly financial statements and reports. Reconcile general ledger, balance sheet, and bank accounts. Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation. Assist with audits, budgets, and state reporting requirements. DDS & State Funding Support accounting and reporting for DDS contracts and other state-funded programs. Monitor funding requirements and assist with regulatory compliance. Prepare financial information required by DDS and other funding agencies. Client Financial Services Assist with resident representative payee accounts. Maintain resident banking records and account balances. Support direct deposit setup and payment processing for residents. Leadership & Support Supervise accounting staff. Serve as backup for Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable Assist with implementation and maintenance of financial software systems. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field required. Minimum of three (3) years of accounting experience. Previous supervisory experience preferred. Experience with accounting software, payroll systems, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word. Experience with nonprofit accounting preferred. Knowledge of DDS contracts, funding streams, and reporting requirements strongly preferred. Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Pay:
$79,000.00 - $83,000.00 per year
