Job Description
SUMMARY:
- Summary Integra-Cast is an Aerospace manufacturing company in New Britain, Connecticut.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Completes month-end close procedures, including preparing journal entries, updating financial results, and preparing reporting packages with accuracy and expediency Assesses and analyzes the cost structure of the business, including production expenses, overhead, and inventory valuation.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES
- Review, approve, and record invoices and accruals related to purchases Liaise with production to record and invoice shipments of orders as they occur Manage cash flow and capital expenditures to ensure appropriate liquidity Identify and record necessary journal entries that arise throughout the accounting period Support specific strategic priorities and projects across the business, including financial statement close process optimization, technological modernization, and operational redesign Effective management and timely performance of recurring activities Proficiency in managing cash flow position and effectively reporting to leadership Identification and implementation of value-add projects and processes Responsiveness to internal stakeholders and issues impacting the business •
EDUCATION REQUIRED
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are required for success in this role, as well as strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills 5-7 years of accounting experience with a focus on cost accounting preferred, ideally in aerospace, defense, or other regulated industries Strong analytical abilities to interpret financial data and identify cost-saving opportunities Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, particularly with skills related to summarizing and analyzing data
