Job Description
Senior Accountant Location:
New Haven, CT Schedule:
Full-time, 8:30-4:30PM Pay:
$37-$40/hour We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to support a New Haven-area organization. This role will focus heavily on month-end close, reconciliations, and general accounting support. The ideal candidate will be comfortable jumping into an established accounting environment and working independently.Responsibilities:
- Support the month-end close process
- Prepare and complete balance sheet reconciliations
- Handle daily banking activities and related reconciliations
- Manage credit card payments and reconciliations
- Provide Accounts Payable support, including check runs and coverage as needed
- Assist with general ledger accounting activities
- Complete Excel-based reconciliations and accounting schedules
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of accounting experience
- Strong month-end close experience
- Hands-on balance sheet reconciliation experience
- Accounts Payable experience
- Strong Excel skills
- Ability to work independently and quickly get up to speed EB-1981818058
