The Staff Accountant is responsible for performing and managing daily accounting processes for month end closing, and to assure integrity of accounting data as well as adherence to generally accepted accounting principles. Success will depend upon displaying financial systems and application expertise, analytical skills, communicating effectively, prioritizing workload, and taking initiative.CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage Saybrook Bottomline AP process for Corporate Office Support and prepare monthly and quarterly customer rebate reporting Ensure company compliance with Sales & Use tax requirements. Manage monthly, quarterly return filing for various states with 3rd tax provider Directly assist month-end closing process including preparing various journal entries Prepare and reconcile various balance sheet reconciliations within Blackline system in accordance with company policy and SOX compliance Support back-up function for cash management / customer payment application Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requestedQUALIFICATIONS
(must have): BS in accounting/finance 1-3 years of experience Must be proficient in MS ExcelQUALIFICATIONS
