Job Description

Property Accountant Location:
Stamford, CT – full-time onsite
Compensation:
$105,000-$115,000 CFS has partnered with a commercial real estate firm in Stamford to help find their new Property Accountant. This position will be a key member of their property accounting team and will work closely with the Property Managers and Property Accountants, while reporting directly to the Property Controller, Director of Real Estate Fund Accounting and the CFO. Responsibilities:
The Property Accountant is responsible for the accounting and financial reporting for an assigned portfolio of properties and works with the accounting team to ensure financial data is complete, accurate, supported and properly presented in accordance with the applicable basis of accounting.
Duties include the following:
Preparation of the monthly, quarterly and year end closings, including supporting schedules, financial review, variance analysis and the prompt resolution of issues Preparation of financial statements in accordance with the GAAP, Tax and Fair Value basis of accounting Assist with reporting to management, investors and lenders Work closely with independent CPA Firm(s) for annual year-end audits Cash flow monitoring and management The Property Accountant will prepare the annual property and fund level budgets Review and approval of certain property expenses such as real estate taxes, insurance and capital costs The Property Accountant will handle the billing and collection of the annual CAM/Tax reconciliations Sales tax filings (as applicable) The Property Accountant will have oversight of the lease administration, accounts receivable and accounts payable functions, to ensure compliance with the Company's policies and procedures Ad hoc reporting as needed Desired qualifications: 3+ years of experience with accounting for commercial real estate. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field Experience with Yardi is highly preferred #LI-TM2 #LI-Onsite #
