Public Accountant -

Full-Time, Temporary-to-Permanent Salary:

$38-45/hour depending on experience A well-established public accounting firm is seeking a mid-level Public Accountant to join its team. This position will support a variety of audit, tax, and accounting engagements while working directly with clients across different industries.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and review individual, corporate, partnership, and other tax returns Assist with financial statement audits, reviews, and compilations Prepare workpapers, reconciliations, and supporting schedules Perform account analysis and research accounting and tax issues Work directly with clients to gather information and resolve questions Assist with year-end close and other accounting projects as needed Maintain accurate documentation and ensure work is completed in accordance with applicable standards and deadlines

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 3+ years of public accounting experience Experience with both audit and tax preferred Strong understanding of accounting principles and tax regulations Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting/tax software Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple engagements and meet deadlines CPA or progress toward CPA certification is a plus
