Job Description

Description My client is looking for a Senior Accountant to fill the role in their organization. The organization is in the legal services industry and is located in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate for the Senior Accountant role would be responsible for maintaining the general ledger accounts, reconciling accounts payable and accounts receivable, coordinating the month end close process, assisting with billing and collections, posting journal entries and helping with other ad hoc projects as needed. This person will be working closely with the Director of the company. The organization offers excellent benefits; including medical benefits and great work-life balance. Daily responsibilities of the Senior Accountant include:
  • Perform month-end close.
  • General ledger maintenance.
  • Reconcile AP and AR accounts.
  • Assist with billing and collections.
  • Prepare financial statements.
  • Research and maintaining compliance US GAAP. Requirements The ideal Senior Accountant we seek must have the following qualifications for consideration:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 3+ years of accounting experience.
  • Understanding of US GAAP.
  • Law firm or public accounting experience, a plus.
