This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys being hands-on, having visibility with leadership, and playing an important role in a smaller organization where their contributions can make a direct impact. The company is entering an exciting period of transition, as the current Controller is planning to retire . This creates a unique opportunity for the right Senior Staff Accountant to learn the business, work closely with leadership, take on increasing responsibility, and potentially advance into a management or Controller-level position on an accelerated timeline . We are looking for someone with 3-5 years of accounting experience who is comfortable with month-end close, reconciliations, financial reporting, and working across multiple areas of accounting. Public accounting experience in audit, risk, or advisory would be a strong plus, particularly for someone looking to make the move into a broader corporate accounting role. What You'll Be Doing Manage and support the monthly close process and ensure financial activity is recorded accurately and timely. Prepare and analyze account reconciliations and investigate variances. Assist with monthly financial reporting and financial statement preparation. Work closely with leadership and other departments on accounting-related questions and issues. Support budgeting, forecasting, and analysis in partnership with FP&A and leadership. Assist with internal and external audits and maintain strong internal controls. Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve the accuracy and efficiency of the accounting function. Take on additional responsibilities and projects as you grow within the organization. What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Accounting required. 3-5 years of accounting experience. Strong foundation in month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting. Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal controls . Strong Excel skills, including PivotTables and VLOOKUPs. Public accounting/audit experience is a plus. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Someone who is comfortable rolling up their sleeves and working across multiple areas of accounting . Strong communication skills and the ability to work directly with leadership. A desire to grow into a broader accounting leadership role.
