Fund Accountant

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Fund Accountant to join our growing financial services team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for managing the accounting and reporting functions of investment funds, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of financial statements. Responsibilities Prepare and review fund financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Perform daily cash management activities, including monitoring cash flows and reconciling bank accounts to ensure accuracy. Journal entries. Maintain comprehensive records of all fund transactions, including securities trades, income accruals, expenses, and distributions. Collaborate with auditors during audits by providing necessary documentation related to fund operations and financial reporting. Stay updated on industry regulations, governmental accounting standards, and technical accounting developments relevant to investment management. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance required. 2+ years of experience public accounting. Strong understanding of financial concepts including securities law, GAAP, governmental accounting, and regulatory reporting standards. Knowledge of investment products, cash management techniques, and banking procedures related to fund operations. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data accurately.

Pay:

$60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
