Job Description

Robert Half has teamed up with a non-profit organization on their search for a Senior Accountant who can assist with the financial future of the company. This Senior Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial reports, preparing financial statements, assisting the month end close process, analyzing financial data, processing client billings, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations. The successful candidate for this role will have excellent leadership abilities, sharp analytical skills, command of the month end process, excellent time management experience, and strong written and verbal communication skills. Major Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.
  • Manage the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Analyze general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies or irregularities.
  • Support external audits by preparing schedules and providing necessary documentation.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support business decisions.
  • Maintain fixed asset records and perform related depreciation calculations.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.
  • Support process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance accounting efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including AP, AR, Payroll, and FP&A.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior accounting staff as needed.
