Staff Accountant

Primary Duties Record and review journal entries for monthly activity, ensuring transactions are properly classified and supported Reconcile balance sheet accounts and research discrepancies to maintain accurate financial records Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and related management reports Assist with the month-end and quarter-end close process, including variance and trend analysis Maintain and update supporting schedules for revenue, expenses, and intercompany accounts Partner with management on special projects, providing insight and recommendations for process improvements Help ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards Contribute to financial documentation and reporting for internal and external use Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (preferred) 1+ of hands-on accounting experience Familiarity with Netsuite or other ERP/accounting platforms Strong attention to detail, organization, and analytical thinking Comfortable in a fast-moving environment and able to handle multiple priorities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Why Join Competitive pay, strong benefits, and a robust 401(k) program Career growth potential within a thriving organization Supportive management and an open, collaborative culture Emphasis on work-life balance and professional development Ascendo is a certified minority owned staffing firm, and we welcome and celebrate diversity.
