Accountant

Job DescriptionJob Description Introduction Visium Resources has been asked to identify qualified candidates for this Accountant position. This position is a contract role which is expected to be on-site in the Tallahassee, FL area, for a duration of 2 months. Summary The selected Accountant will be responsible for critical, time-sensitive financial processes including invoicing, payment application, collections, account reconciliation, and customer account management.

Job Description:

• Generate and distribute customer invoices
• Post and reconcile incoming payments
• Monitor and follow-up on outstanding receivables
• Resolve billing discrepancies
• Maintain accurate customer account records
• Prepare and post journal entries
• General ledger account reconciliations

Requirements:

Ability to utilize ERP systems (Client is using IFS) Experience with Microsoft Office Suite - including intermediate Excel skills.

Schedule:

The accountant will work a 9/80 schedule (4 nine hour days M-Th and every other Friday, an eight hour day, with every other Friday being an off day).
