Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Staff Accountant to join our finance team. In this vital role, you supports the Controller in day-to-day accounting operations, with a focus on AP invoicing, inventory, cost accounting, and month-end close activities. This position requires a hands-on individual who can operate effectively in a lean team, assist with transactional activities (AP/AR), and take ownership of key accounting areas including inventory and fixed assets. This role will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting audit requirements, and improving accounting processes in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Core Accounting & Close Assist with preparing journal entries, including accruals, prepaids, and reclasses Assist with monthly balance sheet reconciliations and resolve variances Support month end and year end close processes Assist in maintaining accurate and timely financial records Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Support Process AP and AR transactions as needed in a high-volume environment Review and process credit memos, invoice adjustments, and discrepancies Assist with payment processing and vendor/customer inquiries Support three-way match process and troubleshoot issues Audit & Compliance Support external audit requests (PBC items) and maintain documentation Assist with audit schedules including inventory, AP, AR, and accruals Ensure adherence to internal controls and accounting policies Fixed Assets Maintain fixed asset schedules and support additions, disposals, and depreciation Assist with capital expenditure tracking and reconciliation Experience
  • Minimum
  • 3-5 years of accounting experience (manufacturing environment preferred)
  • Experience with inventory and cost accounting strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (Epicor a plus)
