This position may require work and meetings outside of regular hours.Responsibilities:
- Maintain journals; audit vouchers for proper coding/posting before payment.
- Prepare monthly financial statements (balance sheets, fund changes, adjusted appropriations).
- Manage financial data flow to and balance the general ledger.
- Write journal entries; reconcile payroll, inventory, accounts receivable, and other accounts.
- Analyze bank statements and pension fund payroll register. ...
- Audit vouchers before check issuance; refer errors to originating department with corrections.
- Daily analysis and posting of cash receipts to the journal. Prepare monthly fund summary/recap. Prepare a central sheet for vouchering payroll disbursements.
- Assist internal/external auditors with assigned area audits.
Working hours:
8:00 AM- 5:00

- Thorough professional accounting principles and procedures
- Office methods and standard office equipment use
- Ability to work effectively with co-workers and the public
- Effective communication (oral and written)

Education:
Bachelors Experience:
1-4 yearsQualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, economics, or related field; or equivalent education/training/experience providing required knowledge/skills/abilities
- Ability to prepare complex financial reports
- Knowledge of computers and relevant software
