Direct Hire Salary:
$65,000-$70,000 per year A well-established Gainesville-area manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Staff Accountant/Accounting Analyst to join its finance team. This is a direct-hire opportunity offering a stable work environment, broad exposure to company accounting operations, and the opportunity to work closely with finance, operations, manufacturing, supply chain, and human resources. This position is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys a combination of hands-on transactional accounting, month-end close responsibilities, account analysis, and process improvement. The successful candidate will be organized, accurate, comfortable working independently, and able to investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies. What You'll Do Support monthly and annual close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, reporting, and financial analysis Reconcile general ledger accounts, bank and credit card activity, fixed assets, inventory balances, and other financial records Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, including vendor payments, customer invoicing, payment application, account research, and discrepancy resolution Maintain accurate vendor and customer master data Prepare sales tax filings and supporting documentation Assist with audits, tax reporting, and internal financial reporting Maintain organized and complete accounting records and supporting documentation Help coordinate internal-control documentation, identify gaps, and recommend process improvements Provide limited document-control support for the company's quality-management system Collaborate with finance, HR, manufacturing, operations, supply chain, customers, vendors, and auditors to resolve issues and ensure accurate reporting What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, finance, or a related field preferred Relevant education and experience may be considered in place of a bachelor's degree At least three years of general accounting, accounts payable/accounts receivable, or related experience Working knowledge of GAAP and general accounting practices Experience with journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close Strong Microsoft Excel skills Experience working with an ERP or integrated accounting system preferred Excellent attention to detail and recordkeeping skills Strong written and verbal communication Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and manage competing deadlines Manufacturing, inventory-accounting, or fixed-asset experience is highly desirable Compensation $65,000-$70,000 annually, depending on experience Direct-hire, full-time position Comprehensive employee benefits This search is being conducted confidentially by a local professional recruiting firm.
