full-time Our client is seeking a Commercial Property Accountant to join its growing accounting team. This role is responsible for the full-cycle accounting of a portfolio of commercial properties, ensuring accurate financial reporting, timely month-end close, and exceptional support to property management teams. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced real estate environment. Responsibilities Manage the full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of commercial properties Prepare monthly financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analyses Complete month-end and year-end close processes accurately and on schedule Record journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations Reconcile bank accounts, security deposits, CAM, and tenant receivables Prepare and reconcile Common Area Maintenance (CAM) charges and annual CAM reconciliations Review and process accounts payable and tenant billings Assist with annual budgets, reforecasts, and cash flow projections Coordinate with property managers to analyze operating expenses and resolve financial issues Support annual audits and provide requested documentation Maintain lease information and ensure proper accounting treatment in accordance with lease agreements Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards . Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 3+ years of commercial property accounting experience Strong understanding of GAAP and real estate accounting principle Experience with CAM reconciliations, tenant billings, and lease accountin Advanced Microsoft Excel skill Experience with property management/accounting software such as Yardi, MRI, AppFolio, or similar ERP systems preferre Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skill Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy
