Job Description:
JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Financial Accountant will prepare financial reports, variance analysis, assist with budgeting and forecasting, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, superior attention to detail, and a solid understanding of manufacturing, distribution and inventory accounting. Key Responsibilities 1. Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. 2. Prepare monthly general ledger account variance analysis. 3. Support month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled. 4. Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow processes. 5. Analyze volume, pricing, cost of goods sold, freight, and margin trends. 6. Analyze key drivers including sales mix, inventory turnover and freight costs. 7. Collaborate with operations to ensure proper accounting of inventory, freight, warehousing, and distribution costs. 8. Assist finance and operations with ad hoc analysis. 9. Assist with external audits and coordinate with auditors to provide supporting documentation. 10. Participate in process improvement initiatives to streamline accounting workflows and enhance reporting accuracy. Qualifications 1. Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting. 2. 3+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including public accounting experience. 3.
Advanced Excel skills:
Proficient in ERP/accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle). 4. Strong financial modeling and analytical skills. 5. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
