An Accountant organizes and maintains financial records and prepares financial statements for companies and organizations. Works as a public accountant (prepares financial documents where public disclosure is required by law, such as business balance sheets and tax returns), management accountant (prepares financial information for internal use by a company) or government accountant (maintains records for government agencies).
Seeking a Staff Accountant to join our corporate accounting team in Hollywood, Florida. In this role, you will play a key part in the financial operations, consolidations, and reporting for our diverse portfolio of subsidiaries, working closely with leadership across the organization.
Support the preparation of consolidated financial statements for ETG entities, including internal schedules and documentation for external (SEC) reporting, tax provisions, and tax returns.
General Ledger & Adjustments:
Prepare top-side journal entries for eliminations and foreign GAAP-to-U.S. GAAP adjustments.
Month-End Close:
Manage the ETG Corporate entity close, reconcile intercompany accounts, and review subsidiary bank accounts.
Process Improvement:
Drive reporting improvements, standardization, and efficiencies while maintaining rigorous accuracy.
Subsidiary Support:
Provide hands-on financial and operational support to HEICO subsidiaries and observe year-end physical inventory counts.
Special Projects:
Execute ad-hoc financial analyses and contribute to special corporate projects as needed. Qualifications & Requirements Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (required). 2 to 4 years of progressive financial accounting experience in public accounting and/or corporate industry settings.
Preferred Experience:
Strong general ledger background, exposure to multi-subsidiary financial consolidations, intercompany transactions, and foreign exchange accounting.
Skills & Competencies Technical Acumen:
Advanced Excel skills with the ability to efficiently manipulate and analyze large volumes of data.
Communication:
Exceptional written and interpersonal communication skills, with the poise to interact effectively with subsidiary controllers, peers, and senior management.

Pay:
$85,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
