Construction Accountant

Construction Accountant Indiantown, FL | Onsite | Full-Time $75K-$80K + Christmas Bonus Generous Benefits, PTO & Paid Holidays A family-owned and operated construction subcontractor is seeking a hands-on Construction Accountant to join their growing team in Indiantown, FL. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, bringing organization to accounting operations, and working closely with leadership in a collaborative environment. The company specializes in commercial, government, and industrial construction projects including brick, block, stone installation, concrete work, and restoration/repair projects ranging from $20K to $5M in value.

What You'll Do:

Maintain and manage the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and proper coding Prepare financial reports and support day-to-day accounting operations Track and analyze job costs across 20-25 active projects Manage and maintain Work-in-Progress (WIP) schedules Perform month-end close, reconciliations, and reporting Complete bank reconciliations and maintain balanced accounts Assist with AIA billing related to construction projects Support collections efforts and financial tracking Help clean up and organize financial records to bring accounting processes up to date Work closely with the Controller and leadership team to improve processes and maintain accurate reporting as the company continues to grow

Project Details:

20-25 active projects at a time Project sizes ranging from $20K-$5M Project durations ranging from 1 month to 2 years Commercial, government, and industrial projects

What They're Looking For:

3-5+ years of accounting experience Construction accounting experience

REQUIRED

Strong understanding of job costing, financial reporting, general ledger accounting, WIP schedules, month-end close, bank reconciliations, and AIA billing Experience with Deltek

Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable helping bring structure and organization to a growing accounting department •
