Pinecrest, FL Lee Construction is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Construction Accountant Specialist to join our growing team. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, this position plays a critical role in supporting the company's financial operations and project accounting functions. The ideal candidate will have strong construction accounting experience, excellent analytical skills, and proficiency in Sage 100 and Microsoft Excel. Key ResponsibilitiesAccounts Receivable Generate and submit AIA payment applications to clients. Track and follow up on outstanding invoices to facilitate timely collections. Maintain accurate records of all accounts receivable transactions. Accounts Payable Process and code invoices with appropriate GL accounts, project numbers, and cost codes. Review invoices due for payment and process checks for distribution. Ensure all accounts payable transactions are processed accurately and timely. Obtain and maintain subcontractor lien releases. Project & Contract Administration Process purchase orders and subcontract agreements. Review subcontractor Certificates of Insurance for compliance with contract requirements. Assist with payroll processing, job cost allocation, and labor tracking when needed. Maintain organized accounting and project documentation. General Accounting & Administrative Support Record, reconcile, and manage transactions within Sage 100. Respond promptly to internal and external accounting inquiries. Support the accounting department with additional financial and administrative tasks as needed. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. Minimum 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably within the construction industry. Proficiency in Sage 100, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, and DocuSign. Strong understanding of construction accounting practices and job costing. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively. Why Join Lee Construction?
