Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited college or university 5+ years of experience managing full accounting cycles using both cash-basis and accrual accounting, including bookkeeping, A/P, A/R, journal entries, monthly and year-end close, and financial statement analysis Advanced understanding of accounting principles from cash-basis through accrual accounting, including strong knowledge of GAAP and the ability to apply accounting theory in practical situations Strong understanding of financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow Statement, Trial Balance, etc.) and the ability to interpret complex financial information and explain it clearly to clients and team members Deep familiarity with accounting software workflows and the ability to identify and resolve system issues Comfortable working in a technology-driven environment and leveraging tools to improve efficiency Understanding of small business operations and a genuine interest in supporting entrepreneurs as they grow Required Soft Skills Strategic thinker- able to evaluate information and determine the best path forward Analytical and critical thinking skills
