STIHL Southeast, Inc., the Orlando-based distributor of STIHL Outdoor Power Equipment products is seeking an experienced Accounting Associate to join our Accounting Department. This position is in-office, no ability to work remotely. Hours for this position are Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm. Salary to be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Duties and Responsibilities include:
Entering of accounts payable invoices into computer. Costing/reconciling of accounts payable invoices for inventory to inventory receipts. Posting of accounts receivable payments received to dealer accounts, including checks, lockbox and electronic receipts. Processing of drop ship sales, including billings to dealers and posting of payables invoices. General filing of accounts payable payments and receivable receipts and correspondence. Primary backup for multi-line telephone system (2+ hours per day). Ability to interact with dealers/vendors by telephone/email on occasion with questions or inquiries.
Qualifications:
Minimum 2-3 years of relevant work experience in an accounting department environment. Strong telephone and computer skills a must, including familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite of programs. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required along with the ability to build a rapport with co-workers. Manage and utilize time effectively. Must be results driven with the ability to multi-task. Working knowledge of accounting principles and math skills. Ability to analyze information and problem solve. Excellent organization skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
