Job Description

Job Summary A growing aerospace and manufacturing organization in Orlando, FL is seeking a Cost Accountant to join its accounting team on a full-time, direct hire basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced manufacturing accounting professional who enjoys analyzing production costs, improving inventory accuracy, and partnering with operations to drive better financial performance. The Cost Accountant will support manufacturing operations through cost analysis, inventory accounting, variance review, KPI reporting, and financial planning support. This role is fully onsite near Orlando International Airport and provides the opportunity to make a direct impact within a long-standing, veteran-owned manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze manufacturing costs, including raw materials, labor, overhead, absorption, WIP, and finished goods inventory.
  • Prepare cost analysis, gross margin reporting, productivity KPIs, and job cost variance reviews to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Monitor inventory valuation, cycle count compliance, ABC classifications, shrinkage, scrap, obsolescence, and inventory turnover.
  • Reconcile physical inventory counts, off-site inventory, warehouse locations, inventory subledgers, and related general ledger accounts.
  • Partner with engineering, production, and operations teams to maintain Bills of Material and support cost reduction initiatives.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, labor planning, capital expenditure support, monthly business reviews, fixed asset schedules, and annual audit preparation. Compensation and Benefits
  • Salary range: $85,000 to $100,000 per year.
