Senior Staff Accountant –
Government & Financial Reporting Location:
Hollywood, FL Salary Range:
$70,000-$80,000 Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. This role is responsible for financial reporting, budget analysis, grant reporting, debt compliance, fixed asset accounting, cash management, and internal audit support. The ideal candidate has strong governmental accounting experience, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently while supporting organizational financial objectives. Key Responsibilities Prepare accurate and timely financial reports and supporting schedules. Perform account reconciliations and maintain the general ledger. Assist with budget preparation, monitoring, and financial analysis. Manage grant accounting and reporting to ensure compliance with funding requirements. Maintain fixed asset records, including acquisitions, disposals, and depreciation. Monitor debt compliance and perform related reconciliations. Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and responding to auditor requests. Assist with cash management activities and financial forecasting. Ensure compliance with Government
GAAP, GASB
reporting requirements, and internal financial policies. Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to support management decision-making. Participate in process improvements to strengthen financial reporting and internal controls. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required. Minimum of three (3) years of professional accounting experience, preferably in a governmental or public sector environment. Experience with governmental accounting, auditing, grant accounting, and fixed asset accounting required. Working knowledge of Government GAAP and GASB reporting standards, including
GASB 34. CPA
designation preferred. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel skills. Why Join Us?
