Job Description

Suplee, Shea, Cramer, and Miller, P.A. is seeking an experienced Audit Accountant to join our Audit and Assurance team. This role offers hands-on experience in planning and executing financial audits and an opportunity to work closely with clients and senior management. The ideal candidate will be a proactive team player with strong analytical skills and a commitment to quality and integrity in financial reporting. Key Responsibilities
  • Examine, analyze, and interpret accounting records, financial statements, and other documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP, GAAS, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Perform risk assessments and evaluate internal controls to identify areas of potential financial mismanagement or inefficiency.
  • Prepare detailed audit work papers and assist in the preparation of audit reports, financial statements, and related footnote disclosures.
  • Communicate audit findings and recommendations to senior auditors, managers, and clients in a clear and timely manner.
  • Build and maintain strong, professional client relationships.
  • Stay current on accounting regulations, auditing standards, and industry trends through continuous learning and professional development. Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
  • Minimum 2-3 years of auditing experience in public accountant firm setting
  • CPA license or actively pursuing CPA certification
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, and related accounting principles
  • Familiarity with audit and business software, such as QuickBooks, CCH ProSystem Fx and MS Office
  • Excellent analytical and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
