This role is ideal for a hands-on accounting specialist who can oversee core ledger activity, support timely close cycles, and deliver meaningful financial analysis to business leaders. The position works closely with the Controller, cross-functional partners, and external auditors to maintain accurate reporting, strong controls, and informed decision-making.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee day-to-day general ledger activity and maintain the accuracy and integrity of financial records.
  • Contribute to monthly close activities by preparing journal entries, reviewing allocations, reconciling balance sheet accounts, and explaining period-to-period fluctuations.
  • Partner with finance leadership on budgeting efforts and provide support during planning and forecast cycles.
  • Evaluate accounting matters to ensure financial treatment aligns with generally accepted accounting principles and internal policies.
  • Monitor cost and standard variance trends, investigate unusual results, and recommend corrective actions to improve reporting accuracy.
  • Act as a key contact for external audit requests and help coordinate supporting schedules, documentation, and follow-up items.
  • Administer intercompany billing and reconciliation processes to ensure balances are properly recorded and resolved.
  • Support compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements, prepare analyses such as warranty reserves, excess and obsolete inventory, accounts receivable allowance, tax filings, and ad hoc financial reporting as needed.
