We're looking for a seasoned, analytical, and detail-driven Accountant III to play a key role in advancing our financial operations and delivering Remarkable Member Service. What You'll Be Doing As a critical member of our Accounting team, you'll take ownership of advanced accounting functions and help guide financial accuracy and reporting across the organization.
Your role will include:
Call Report Contribution
  • Assist in preparing quarterly Call Reports and supporting leadership review processes. Tax & Regulatory Filings
  • Prepare and support multiple annual tax filings and compliance efforts. Period-Close Leadership
  • Drive timely and accurate close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis. Reconciliation Expertise
  • Manage GL account reconciliations, fixed assets, and deferred fee processes with precision. Cash & Banking Oversight
  • Monitor daily cash position and approve fund transfers in alignment with policy. Financial Reporting & Analysis
  • Prepare key reports and contribute to financial modeling for leadership insights. Audit & Compliance Support
  • Provide documentation and support for audits and regulatory examinations. Team Development & Leadership
  • Train accounting team members, support cross-training efforts, and step into supervisory responsibilities when needed. Process & Systems Administration
  • Serve as an administrator for key accounting systems and processes. What You Bring to the Table You're an experienced accounting professional who brings both technical expertise and strong leadership presence to the table. Associate's or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
  • or 10+ years of relevant experience.
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and advanced analytical skills. Experience in a mid-to-large organization; financial institution or credit union experience preferred. Proven ability to manage complex reconciliations, reporting cycles, and financial processes. Strong communication and collaboration skills across teams. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities with discretion. Why First Commerce?
