Senior Accountant

Senior Accountant - Construction (Civil/Infrastructure and Commercial) We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support the accounting and financial operations of a civil/infrastructure and commercial construction company. This role offers the opportunity to grow within a dynamic construction environment and contribute directly to financial and operational success. Key Responsibilities Assist with monthly financial statement preparation and internal reporting Prepare and analyze job profit reports and job cost activity Support the monthly close process, including reconciliations and journal entries Monitor and reconcile job costs across labor, materials and equipment Track and manage inventory, including dirt and road materials Maintain equipment inventory and related debt schedules Work closely with operations to ensure accurate cost allocation and reporting Assist with process improvements across accounting functions Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting required 5+ years of accounting experience; construction accounting preferred Experience with job costing and WIP reporting strongly preferred Familiarity with sitework or heavy civil construction is a plus Advanced Excel skills and strong attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment What We're Looking For Strong analytical and organizational skills Self-motivated professional with a hands-on approach Effective communicator who works well with both accounting and operations teams Process-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and efficiency Compensation and Benefits Starting Salary - $70,000 Health, dental, vision & long-term disability insurance Retirement plan Paid time off and holidays
