$65,000 - $75,000 Why This Opportunity Stands Out for a Cost Accountant Join a small, stable manufacturing company where the Cost Accountant plays a visible and impactful role Direct exposure to leadership with the ability to influence cost controls and operational efficiency Hands-on environment with real ownership over inventory, WIP, and BOM accuracy Opportunity for a Cost Accountant to build and refine costing processes in a growing organization Collaborative, team-oriented culture where the Cost Accountant is a key business partner to operations Key Responsibilities of the Cost Accountant Maintain and analyze standard costs, product costing, and job costing within a manufacturing environment Monitor and reconcile inventory, including raw materials, finished goods, and work-in-progress (WIP) Oversee and validate Bills of Materials (BOMs) for accuracy and cost integrity Track production variances and provide actionable reporting to leadership Perform WIP analysis and ensure accurate monthly inventory valuations Partner with operations to review production efficiencies and cost drivers Assist with physical inventory counts and cycle counts Support month-end close related to inventory and cost accounting functions Develop and improve costing processes, controls, and reporting tools Provide detailed Excel-based analysis, including advanced reporting and reconciliations Qualifications for the Cost Accountant 1-5 years of Cost Accountant or manufacturing accounting experience Strong experience with inventory accounting, WIP, and BOM structures (required) Background in small to mid-sized manufacturing environments preferred Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and data analysis Solid understanding of standard costing and variance analysis Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred This Cost Accountant role is ideal for someone who enjoys digging into the details, partnering with operations, and making a measurable impact within a small manufacturing environment. #
