Job DescriptionJob Description We are looking for an ambitious and self-motivated Tax Accountant to work in a growing private equity group. The responsibilities will include preparation and support for all aspects of tax compliance for multiple funds and entities. The position may also support the accounting practices, assist with financial strategies, financial reporting as well as planning and forecasting. Ideally, the candidate should have strong analytical, technological, communication, detail and organizational skills. This position will report directly to the CFO. Responsibilities Private Equity Tax Management Prepare tax returns and supporting documentation for several entities in Partnership taxation (1065) and C Corporation taxation (1120) Federal and state tax returns Estimated tax payments Basis schedules Information tax reporting for 1099s and 1042s Maintain and review Quickbooks accounting package Knowledge and proficiency with tax software (preferably UltraTax) Other responsibilities may include: Fund structure evaluation and diligence, including but not limited to: Current portfolio investments New portfolio investments Create or review various financial models Fund management and quarterly reporting Performance evaluation of total assets Examine and assess current economic and market trends Maintain banking relationships Management of debt/credit facilities across all funds Qualifications Education and Experience 3+ years experience in tax compliance - preferably partnership taxation (1065) Preferred knowledge of foreign ownership of partnership interests (i.e. 1042s, FDAP and ECTI) Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business CPA certification or working towards certification Skills High-level attention to detail with ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks within set deadlines Excellent analytical and organizational skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work autonomously and perform well under pressure Ability to deal with sensitive and confidential information Ability to work in an entrepreneurial environment Strong negotiation and decision-making skills Up-to-date knowledge of current financial and accounting practices Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products Strong Excel skills are a must
