[Controller / Accounting Manager] Position Overview The Staff Accountant/Billing Coordiantor plays a critical role in securing company revenue, maintaining billing accuracy, and optimizing cash flow. Sitting at the intersection of accounting and field operations, this position is responsible for processing revenue transactions, resolving account variances, and directly supporting field teams to ensure timely, error-free billing. The ideal candidate is results-oriented, highly organized, and possesses exceptional attention to detail to identify and resolve financial discrepancies before they impact the bottom line. Core Responsibilities 1.Accounts Receivable & Revenue Management Transaction Posting:
Verify and post daily revenue receipts and financial transactions with speed and accuracy.Collections & Discrepancies:
Proactively manage past-due accounts, reaching out to customers to resolve payment delays and outstanding variance purchase orders (POs).Billing Reconciliation:
Investigate customer and field-reported account discrepancies, obtaining necessary documentation to resolve issues efficiently.A/R Reporting:
Maintain daily and weekly billing logs and generate weekly accounts receivable benchmark reports for executive leadership. 2.Field Operations & Project Support Billing Alignment:
Facilitate ongoing communication with field personnel and project managers to expedite billing cycles and verify invoice accuracy.Revenue Forecasting:
Collaborate with Project Managers on a monthly basis to update project revenue projections.Field Requests:
Respond promptly to information and documentation requests from field leadership to prevent job-site delays. 3.Inventory, Scheduling & Customer Coordination Material & Inventory Tracking:
Estimate material requirements for upcoming projects, track bulk material usage, and maintain appropriate par inventory levels.Repair & Field Scheduling:
Develop and maintain weekly crew schedules and monthly repair timetables.Customer Service & Repairs:
Address customer billing inquiries directly and coordinate with repair teams to schedule quality service calls.Internal Sales Support:
Handle phone sales and material ordering from field crews and repair technicians.Qualifications & Requirements Experience:
2+ years of experience in project accounting, accounts receivable, or revenue operations (general construction or trade contracting experience preferred).Education:
Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent hands-on experience.Technical Skills:
Proficiency with accounting/ERP software, financial database management, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.Mathematical & Analytical Acumen:
Strong general math skills with an ability to conduct data entry, analyze reporting trends, and perform thorough variance research.Communication & Task Management:
