Job Description:

I'm partnered with a Global Manufacturer, on a new Senior Accountant role. This role is a diverse scope combination of accounting and indirect tax. Leading with a higher focus of tax for the first few months, transitioning to more GL accounting focus long term. Role Summary This position plays a key role in supporting month-end close , and contributing to audit and compliance efforts, while assisting with sales & use tax processes (20-25%). You'll collaborate cross-functionally gaining exposure across broader accounting operations and indirect taxation. Key Responsibilities Support month-end close with journal entries and account reconciliations Maintain fixed assets and depreciation schedules Assist with financial audits, compliance reporting, and regulatory filings Manage sales & use tax activities including rate setup, filings, reconciliations, and third-party coordination Contribute to special projects and research related to state compliance and accounting issues Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting (advanced education a plus) 3-5+ years of accounting experience and multi-state sales & use tax knowledge Solid understanding of GAAP and accounting systems (JD Edwards huge plus!) and tools Avalara and/or Vertex Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Why Consider This Role Broad exposure across tax, accounting, and compliance Opportunity to own key processes and drive impact Collaborative team environment with an employee centric focus Stable, growing organization within an innovative sector of manufacturing Above average benefits including: 100% covered monthly premium for employee (medical/vision/dental) Fully funded medical deductible for employee and family 15 days of vacation, 8 days of sick, 1 floating holiday and 7-8 paid holidays 401k match with immediate vest company match and much more
