About the Role Essential Responsibilities Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Responsible for all Sales and Use tax related issues, including assigning tax rates, filing returns in accordance with filing deadlines, reconciling accounts, and being primary contact for third party sales tax service provider. Serves as the primary point of contact for Customer Service for all sales tax related issues and inquiries. Prepares month end General Ledger account reconciliations and related journal entries. Maintains fixed asset records, including related depreciation schedules. Completes annual property tax return(s) and related audits and inquiries. Prepares audit schedules, reconciliations and analyses as directed by manager in support of annual financial statement audit and accounting related government compliance audits. Researches, analyzes, and reports on various accounting related issues and projects, including business licenses, Sunshine Reporting, and related state compliance issues. Develops understanding of all company accounting functions to provide support as needed. Responsibilities Responsible for all Sales and Use tax related issues. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting required; postgraduate education or training preferred. 3-5 years' experience in an accounting role with progressively increasing responsibility. Multi-state tax and sales and use tax experience an absolute must. Required Skills Excellent verbal and written communications skills required. Quality interpersonal skills. Superior organizational skills and the ability to meet strict deadlines in a high-volume environment required. Demonstrated computer skills and accounting systems proficiency required. CRM, ERP, Sales and Use tax software, and Microsoft Office proficiency required. Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles required. Detail-oriented and possess sound decision-making ability. Ability to handle confidential information in an appropriate and professional manner. Ability to think and make decisions independently with limited direction a must.Preferred Skills Competencies:
